Testeboån empties into the Botten sea, just north of Gävle's city center. The river is about eleven mil long. In practice, the bottom two mile that is available for salmon and sea trout. The average water flow in the river's lower part is 11 m3/second.

Fishing
There is fishing in April that gives the best chance to lure a trout in Testeboån.
In addition, the salmon is totally protected in Testebo river. For trout there is a fishing during April and early May. The river's lowermost part caught the occasional shiny trout and further up is a few tens wintered sea trout.
